We had some fantastic applicants, and trying to choose one member for this role was REALLY tough. The first-ever CC news editor is
tako. Many of you probably know tako already - she's been a regular at CC since 2005, and has 1200+ posts. We expect that tako will dig out and post some interesting and relevant content from he mainstream media, and also help spot some quality discussions to feature on the home page or at the top of the forum they appear in.
Everyone can participate in this process, of course - particularly in spotting good threads. We have hundreds of forums here, so we rely on the members who participate in a particular topic to identify those threads that deserve to be highlighted either on the home page, or, more commonly, at the top of that forum. As new threads are featured, the old ones scroll into a permanent library for easy access by future readers. To recommend a thread for featuring, just use the "recommend" link under "thread tools."
