Smileys and Polls!

Maybe this has been discussed. I tried looking it up in the search section, but I'm not going to wait 60 seconds between each search. No sireeeeeeeeeeeee!

So I think we need smileys. Badly. I mean ":-)" and ":-(" just aren't cutting it.

Polls are awesome. They could work real well in the "DO I HAVE A FRIGGIN CHANCE INTO HARVARD WITH A 36 ACT/2400SAT AND I'M BLIND AND MUTE AND DEAF" threads.

So is it possible?

I'm pretty sure that's exactly why we don't have polls.
I love polls, and think they would be fun, but I can see them being way overused with threads like that.

Yes, definitely. Random people might just hit yes/no for the heck of it, without meaning to, and therefore the poll wouldn't reflect the 'real' opinion of the community
