Academic subject sub-forums?

How about separate forums for academic subjects? There would be discussions in "Philosophy", problem solving in "Math" and "Physics", explanations in "English & Lit", etc.

This isn't a homework help site.

Snoopy, I'm well aware of that, and perhaps I should clarify, as that was NOT what I was suggesting.

I would like to cite several examples of what I had in mind. For example, in the Parent's Cafe there is a long running thread called "Poetry Corner" where poems are shared, interpreted, and discussed. For a math section, I was thinking of something along the lines of the AoPS (Art of Problem Solving) forums, where participants who love problem solving can challenge themselves and share solutions with others.

CC is a diverse community stocked full of intelligent and insightful individuals. It would be great to see that in action in a more direct, intellectual manner.

But this forum discusses college and topics related to getting into college. Besides, if we did have sub-forums of that kind, they would get very little traffic. The Cafes are present to discuss those kinds of off-topic threads, like poetry or problem solving.
