Searching

Is it just me, or have all the "Search" links disappeared after the implementation of the new sidebar? Have the moderators intentionally disabled the searching feature? When I try to view posts made by a certain user, I get the message "Searching has been disabled."

I would also like this feature reenabled. I would like to be able to peruse the latest posts. Is the removal of the feature just an attempt to save bandwidth while the decisions roll in?

That could be it and if so, I hope its reenabled soon. The ability to search old threads here and in the "old" forum prevents us from having hundreds of posts on the exact same topics.

They might be upgrading or its a busy time. Whenever the decisions come out, they tend to remove the search feature temporarily to speed up the server.

Hi, Joev is right - during really busy periods, we disable searching temporarily. We're tweaking the server, and hope to have searching restored shortly.
