CC Gear Now Available

When we ran our College Visits Scholarship contest, we promised our runners-up CC gear. We were going to run off some t-shirts and caps, but we made the mistake of asking our winners what THEY would like, if it existed. We got requests for hoodies, tote bags, water bottles, and more. So, we figured out how to do this with a full selection of CC gear from CafePress (sorry, no water bottle yet). Check out the College Confidential Shop. There are even kids items for future Ivy Leaguers.

We appreciate all of our CC members, and all this merchandise currently has ZERO markup. We don't make a penny on these items at these prices (although we're pretty sure that CafePress does). This is our way of saying "Thanks!" to all of our great CC members, and for getting the word out to those people that haven't discovered CC yet.

I've seen a few of the items, and the quality on those is very good. My giant CC coffee mug is my new favorite caffeine container for those late nights/early mornings!

So, enjoy the shop. And if you have any clever slogans/designs/ideas, let us know - maybe we'll immortalize your CC nickname on a T-shirt!

Great idea! Thanks Roger!! Since my kids are always "on my case" about my addiction to CC, maybe I can get them some CC gear as stocking stuffers!

If we have any College Visit winners who didn't get the link to the shop a few weeks ago, your spam filter probably ate the email. Just PM me if that's the case.

Next step-College Confidential annual meetings! A chance for CC parents to finally meet their online buddies! [ just my suggestion, but wouldn't it be fun?]

I like the coffee mug. I drank out of one this morning. I'll try out the T-shirt at my next opportunity.

P.S. I very much like menloparkmom's idea of a real-world CC meet-up. In fact, at the conference I'm attending this week on gifted education, I think I'll post a notice on the message board and see if any other CCers are attending.

I would have loved to go to the gifted convention, but why are they ALWAYS held in COLD locations in the middle of winter??? Brrrrrrrrrr.

Last year's location for NAGC was in the Carolinas (Charlotte, if I remember correctly) and next year is in Florida. I've never been to any other NAGC conference, so I don't know how much the climate influences the experience.

But with enough layers of CC gear, it wouldn't matter.
