After posting a quick reply, an error was said to occur, although no error message was shown, and a link to the thread read "Okay." I clicked on "Okay," searched for new posts and got this result. Just wondering why/how this happened... thought it was funny.

Yeah, I'm having problems with "today's posts". I received this Quote: |
This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between searches. Please try again in 20365 seconds.
| and when I retry, it is still counting down! And I noticed that it is 4:10 pm EST and there are posts that read 9pm.
Edited to add: It's still counting down, now at 20059 seconds...

Well, I have been on the board for over a year, on the same computer with the same settings. I have ALWAYS gotten the 60 sec warning if I search too quickly after a search. And today, my message now reads Quote: |
This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between searches. Please try again in 14283 seconds.
| It has been 90 minutes since I last posted, and it is counting every second. I will try to clear cookies and try again, but I have never had to do this before.

OK so I logged out, deleted all cookies, all internet files, all offline content-everything. I signed back in and the countdown is down to 13XXX and counting, and will not let me search or access the New Posts button at the top. Something is quirky and it is not my computer. Quote: |

Doesn't matter what browser or computer. If I log onto CC via D's computer, with my screen name, same thing--I cannot search. It is down to 12999 ish seconds. Somehow it is my screenname. I can log out and click on Today's Posts and get a summary. Not if I log in. D does not have a screenname--so I can't check with her's. It's getting frustrating. I cannot search or use New Posts if signed on. Someone doesn't like me??!?!!?!?!?

Presumably to defend against DDoS-ing, although only a few seconds should be necessary.
Similarly to sunnyflorida, the problem is not on my end. I'll just wait the 5 or so hours it will take to synch back up again.

| I still cannot search the site or access New Posts. The countdown continues. Something tells me when I get to 0 seconds, if I accidently double click I will be in the wait mode all over again.
Something is wrong somewhere.

OK, so I had my sister in another state sign in using a different internet service provider and a different browser, but using my name and password on CC, and she got the same countdown. The count is now Quote: |
This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between searches. Please try again in 633 seconds.
| The glitch appears to have occured the second I happened to click on search, it is my screenname and it is a server problem, and it has nothing to do with cookies or even my computer. I hope it all resets when I get to 633 more seconds.

Well, I waited and waited and now I can search. And if I try too quickly, I am back to waiting only 60 secs. Whew! Glad there were more having the same problem. Anthony clearly didn't take us seriously. It was the server, not our computers. Trust me.
