I try and read most of the
College Visit Reports as they come in, and we've had some great ones lately. Rather than waiting for the conclusion of our
College Visit Report Scholarship Award program, we picked three of the best reports in the last few days and have declared them instant awardees! Each of these three members will receive up to $30 in
CC gear!
What makes for a great report? Often, it's the little details on specific topics, like the dormitories or the friendliness of the students, that help CC members who haven't yet been able to visit the college get to know it vicariously.
A narrative description is also helpful - even before our College Visits section started up, member posts describing their visits were among our most popular. And the most popular of those were the ones that really captured the flavor of the campus, recounted an anecdote or two about the funny tour guide or unusual dorm visit, or described a specific aspect of the school in detail.
