General Thanks to CC Participants and Best of CC Links

I thought I'd say a general thank you here after four admission seasons on College Confidential to the many participants who post helpful information on CC forums. More and more these days when I Google for information on any aspect of selecting colleges, applying to colleges, or parental dealing with college applicants, I find threads on CC prominently listed in my Google search results. One great thing about CC is the very civil and constructive atmosphere here, based on the carefully crafted Terms of Service

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/...q_new_faq_item

and the efforts of the great majority of participants to live by the spirit and letter of those. Another great thing about College Confidential is the large number of helpful links to external static content that can be found here. I thought I'd celebrate what I've learned by reading CC by posting some of my favorite links here, all of which (according to my best recollection) I learned about from other CC participants. Glancing over my browser bookmarks and posting in no particular order, here are some links I learned about from other CC participants, which I now to post to share with you as I express my thanks to them.

Thanks!!!

This is a great compilation and should be stickied in a more prominent forum (college admissions?). I found it through New Posts.

I learned about Common Data Sets, IPEDS, questbridge and much much more on CC.

There is also the "revolving threads" thread Revolving Thread Topics- linking the old with the new... with lots of easily accessible threads on topics that come around frequently.

Hi, chuy,

It appears you are the OP on this thread

Your Semi-annual Academic Common Market Thread (IN STATE TUITION)

which shows your interest in that issue. I'll keep my eye out for that. Thanks for forming the FAQ thread here.
