Adding a CUNY section to the college forums.

Just an idea since it is a major system and we have some SUNY schools up.

i think CUNY is a four-college system for people who are supposed to be in a two-year college...just saying

also who's ever heard of CityTech or CCNY?

I will admit that the CUNY system has a lot of students attending who aren't the brightest, but it is growing more selective and only improving. Open admissions ruined CUNY's reputation and now it's building it back up again. In addition, I think that the CUNY Honors program is a good choice for people on CC who are interested. It is becoming increasingly selective and I believe the average SAT score for this program was around a 1400 on the 1600 scale.

CCNY is great school for sciences and engineering. An Intel winner (David Bauer '05) currently attends CUNY Honors at CCNY.

When I first heard of CUNY, I actually thought it was a community college system. One of my professors recommended it when I wanted to transfer and I snubbed them for the same reason.
From what I've heard, Hunter and Baruch are fairly good schools, though.

Thanks, Duper, for the suggestion. The thread is closed because it has become a spam magnet.
