| Page views not being updated
When I click on a thread I have never viewed before and then return to the forum in which that thread is located, the column listing the number of times that thread has been viewed stays the same. I am reloading the forum page (not just hitting the back button), so it shouldn't be doing this. The fact that a number of threads in the Princeton forum only have one page view indicates that this problem is not unique to my account.

I have been wondering about this too. It seems that for the majority of posts in any forum (although there are several exceptions), the number of "views" is one number higher than the number of "replies" (ie replies plus original post).

| What's up with the "views" and "replies" count??
I have noticed that many, if not most of the new threads seem to have virtually identical "views" as "replies". That doesn't seem to make any sense, as there are a lot of lurkers out there, and with rare exception, the views count has always significantly exceeded the reply count. Might need to put Anthony onto that-- it looks like it needs a fix.

Hey, jym, I was just wondering the same thing! Thanks for posting this question. Moderators-- consider the question posed twice! Thanks for your consideration. Also, one other question. The views count doesn't seem to go up for some of the posts. Not that this really matters in the great scheme of things, it's just curious.

Yes, there does seem to be a problem with the views counter, and we are aware of it.
No, it has not been resolved -- but it is on the list of "items needing attention."
Apologies for the frustration.
I will try to post an update once we have a resolution. It is a tech matter that is not within the realm of the mods to resolve. I have shared a link to this thread with the Mod/Admin team.

When it is fixed, will it be accurate, or just start to count from there? That is, will it be showing all the views, or is that data lost? Just curious. No big deal.

It looks like an identical thread (What's up with the "views" and "replies" count??) was started by jym and the moderator has responded. You can read the response on that second thread.
