and is CC currently adding new mods?

oh i read the new mod thread, but it didn't say how they got it. like do you apply for it or do they offer it?

When we need new mods, the current mod team is asked to suggest candidates. We develop a list. Such candidates usually have established themselves as particularly thoughtful and helpful posters. It is a volunteer position but one for which you are chosen, rather than applying. Not all candidates who are approached want the job.

Best way to be considered: ALWAYS stay within the TOS, post solid and unbiased information on college admissions (our main focus) and help other posters.
