Colleges and Universities sub-forum

The new format makes it tougher to get to an individual college unless it's one of the top universities. Seems better to have more than one column, as before. An alternative would be to list the categories (Top universities, Top LACS, and Service Academies) and the alphabet in two columns. That would (I think) allow quick access to all rather than a long scroll down

I don't mind the new format as much as I mind that many of the top-100 universities are missing their own forums. The argument that there isn't enough activity can't be proven unless they are given a forum and there are plenty of colleges (many of them insignificant or very specialized) without any activity in their forums that are in the list. All of the top-100 should at least have a forum.

Are you going back to the old format for the "Aphabetical List of Colleges and Universities"? If so -- good move! I did not like the change to a scroll down format. Thanks for recognizing that it was not an improvement.

Supposedly increasing the number of forums/subforums on vB can seriously hurt the performance. I remember another forum I was on they created something like 300 forums to see what would happen, and it made the site run noticeably slower. Dunno if it's been fixed in more recent versions, though.
