| Rice university Signature page
Why do we have to draw a picture on the signature page. Does it have to be anything specific?
If I have made a mistake in where I posted, please tell me, I have never done this before

Maybe I'm dense, but I'm not finding the College Visits section. Where did it go?

Why am I not suprised that the "new look" was basically designed by committee?...
It is unattractive, and it was necessary because?...
Looks like some nano-technicians redid it.

Ummm...I read through the whole "Ivy Applications" thing, and...well....it was bad. The essays were poorly constructed. They "told" instead of "showed." It's always a terrible idea to disregard specific instructions (e.g. writing a 1000 words when specifically asks you to limit it to 500-600...or giving them six recs, counselor+2 teacher+president guy+dad, when they specifically ask for 3-4). Idk, it was just childish. Also, you can't follow most of that advice if you're doing it all online (cover letter, etc.)

I preferred the former design, but I also understand the purpose & goals of the new design. Hopefully it will just be an interim design.

I agree, it looks kind of like a spam site. Nothing is too "focused" on, unlike before, with the HUGE college discussion button. But, I can see how it is also better in some aspects as well. Hopefully it'll grow on me. Acquired taste for a website perhaps?
