Opening threads and forum problem

For some odd reason, I am having difficulty opening some threads (they don't open) and some posts (they don't open). I cannot get into the Parent Cafe, and I also could not open Swimcat's post about quick replies here at the Community and Forum issues.

What's up? I've periodically had this issue but it usually goes away in an hour or so. This has been all day.

I get the page "OOPs we can't find the page you are looking for."

Hi Roger...yes...today it's the Parent's Cafe....it won't open "oops we can't find the page you're looking for". That's after it churns around for a quite a few minutes NOT loading.

And I still can't open "Quick Reply Problems".

I thought that might somehow relate to my problem..but I can't even open the post.

That's odd, Quick Reply Problems opens just fine for me. What browser are you using? (Not that I would expect that to make a difference.)

Several of us have had this same problem. I can get on using Internet Explorer, but not AOL. I chatted with another poster who had the same problem. Help.

OK...I also use an AOL favorites link to get here. BUT today I can't post replies. Every day it's something different.

OK..my post above posted, even though the screen told me "oops...couldn't find the site". How odd is that.

But I'm guessing this is an AOL glitch. I am now logged on here using Internet Explorer directly with NO problems.

Thank goodness AOL is free...if I were paying for it, I would cancel it.

I've had various access issues and extreme slowly responding opening pages/subforum switching the past few days, incuding today. A few opening problems, "server too busy" or "cannot locate page" messages as well. Normally, the site in general is very quick to respond.

"I've had various access issues and extreme slowly responding opening pages/subforum switching the past few days, including today."
Ditto here. I've noticed these messages in the lower left corner of my screen today-
"connecting to ads.collegeconfidential.com" and
"waiting for ads.collegeconfidential.com"
as I was waiting for pages to load, regardless of whether I was connecting to a new thread OR using the back button. there were visible long enough to be read, which is not the case normally. Usually they just fly by. I think that the ads cookies may be slowing everything up.[?]
I use firefox, which is lightning fast in connecting to every other website.
And it took 5 seconds for my comments to load
just noticed this message as well
"transfering data from googleleads.g.doubleclick.com"

at 3:00PST page loading slowed down considerably and these same messages were once again appearing for a few seconds each in the bottom left corner of the screen-
"connecting to ads.collegeconfidential.com" and
"waiting for ads.collegeconfidential.com"
"transfering data from googleleads.g.doubleclick.com"
