Suggestion to College Confidential

I wonder if it would be a good idea to separate the college search and college selection categories. It seems some kids/parents are at the front end of the process and others and the deciding phase. Maybe "college decision/selection" and "College search" something like that. Just a thought.

This is my fifth admissions cycle (I think) on CC, and I think things are fine the way they are. April is always a bit messy with "vs." threads popping up all over the place, but things quiet down fairly quickly.

Even if such a division took place, I can guarantee you that plenty of people would post the same sorts of threads in each forum...far too many for mods to delete or move.

The main problem with that is the fact that the decisions forum would slow down to the point of almost being inactive during the summer and fall months.
