You guys having some technical problems?

I've noticed some unusual technical issues since last night. Some forums are loading very slowly or not at all (esp. the pol forum, which is probably a good thing

), and I can get into older parts of some threads, but either not the last page or it will now let me get to the last page but not post (it times out). I thought maybe it was my ISP so I tried getting on CC via a different ISP and it wouldnt open at all. In the other ISP the main page usually has a few of the latest posts, but now says they aren't available at this time. The "search new posts" link doesnt seem to be working consistently either (sometimes it loads, sometimes it doesn't). Thought perhaps you might not be aware of these issues (I am assuming its not a problem at my end...)

I'm not aware of any ongoing technical issues with the site. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, still having issues. Some forums/threads load just fine, and some are slow and time out. Hmmm......

I am not having any other internet problems to my knowledge.

Still cant get the pol forum to open. Maybe this is a good thing..... (was able to on a different isp, but even after I cleared all cookies/cache it still didnt work)

And this post wouldnt load. I had to try several times. I cleared my cache and all that but still had to try a different ISP

I am not able to open the second page to any thread. I am sometimes not able to open a second THREAD unless I log off and on again. Loading is VERY slow.

This has been going on for two or three days.

Well, I cleared out all caches, cookies, footprints, shut downthe computer rebooted and now cant get on cc through aol at all!!!

^^^ HAd the same problem Thumper mentioned in another post (which I now don't see, so maybe it didnt post) -- that it woudnt let me edit a post and then I couldnt get back on that thread. All quite perplexing.....

Just an FYI...
On 8/20/09 around 3pm EDT there was a major internet outage which caused connectivity issues through large parts of the US in the MidWest. I would suspect that many of your issues were related to this outage. College Confidential's email delivery, in particular, was affected by this outage. In addition, slow page loads or intermittent failures were also an issue. Hope this information helps.
