Science?

College Majors
# Architecture Major
# Business Major
# Dance Major
# Engineering Majors
# Music Major
# Musical Theater Major
# Nursing Major
# Theater/Drama Majors
# Visual Arts and Film Majors
# Other College Majors

Why Is there no science sub-forum? There are many people who want to do biology, chemistry, physics, and other sciences, but these topics are scattered randomly throughout the board. I would say science is more major than dancing, for example. I think it's more worthy than "Other Majors," too.

Thanks for the input, Zapz. We have decided to create a general Science Majors subforum. I went ahead and moved a few related discussions from other forums into this new forum to help get things moving. You may find the forum here:

Science Majors - College Discussion

The difficulty with "majors" forums is that most discussion about majors tends to take place in school-specific or test prep forums. However, there are students who request feedback regarding the "best schools for biology", or "zoology vs. molecular biology", and so forth.

We will check back in a few weeks to see how the activity is progressing on this new forum.

Thanks again!

Lenitus-

I always see threads about journalism. I think it may be a good idea to have a journalism or maybe even a communications sub forum.

Just an idea.

Thanks for the input, early_college. I certainly can't promise anything at this point, but we'll take a look at how often journalism is being discussed (NOTE: this doesn't include journalism discussions taking place in specific school forums).

Here is a link to the new Journalism Major forum:

Journalism Major - College Confidential

I found several journalism threads in general forums that I was able to move over so that we have a good foundation of discussion to start with.

Thanks again for the suggestion!

Apparently, you're not the only one, so I hope you have vibrant discussions on the matter

Yep, I hope so too but I think it will take some time for things to build up.
