I have tracked down the source of the email issues. So far the list of affected domains is:
aol.com
vosses.com
cox.net
comcast.net
The resolution of the issue resides with our email delivery provider and I am working with them to resolve the issue. I will update you when I have more information. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

The folks who handle our outgoing email delivery worked this weekend to make some improvements to their email system which will hopefully improve the delivery of talk email to the affected domains. Those domains are:
aol.com
comcast.net
cox.net
If your email uses another domain and you are having difficulty receiving talk emails please let me know and I will add it to the list. They are personally calling each provider to work to get the email unblocked.

The email policies of each service provider (such as aol, comcast, cox, etc) are up to them to determine. At this point our email delivery provider is working with each of these providers to encourage them to accept our email. But the process is slow and different for each provider. We have very little control over how these providers views email from this domain and we have taken the steps we can to improve the situation. The rest is up to aol, comcast and cox.
If you are wondering why this situation occurred, when we moved this forum to a new data center we essentially changed our identity to the outside world. It will take some time for the rest of the internet to associate our new location with us.
If you want to be of help in this struggle, you might try contacting you email provider and let them know that email you consider important is being blocked by them and that will probably have greater impact since you are a customer of these providers.

thanks, dkblinux.
As you see in the snipit I posted in post # 17, another listserv that I participate on has had similar issues. Apparently, if I understand correctly, the providers see this email as spam until it is correctly identified as email. Also, if someone decided they no longer want to get, for example, auto-notification and they label it as spam (in order to stop gettign the emails) instead of changing their settings, this has caused a big mess becuase again the provider then thinks the emails to everyone are spam. You might want to be sure to let all posters know that if they no longer want to get autonotification or notice of PMs they should NOT mark it as spam, but instead change their settings. In my other forums it was such a problem that posters were warned of possible loss of posting priviledges if they did that.

Thanks jym626 for your last post and you are absolutely correct that the problem is made worse if any CC user marks these emails as spam.
I will discuss the notification with Roger and Lenitus and let them handle it as they see fit. Good idea and thanks for suggesting it.
I will make an inquiry of our email delivery provider if they have had any response from the ISPs that are blocking our email. Since the resolution at this time rests in the hands of external ISPs, there is little we can do but be the squeaky wheel and wait.
