Junior member, member, sr member

What determines your extent of membership? Number of posts..and how many exactly if so? Just wondering..or do people who have senior member are like long time members..or alumni of schools and stuff..to help judge the validity of opinions on forums.

Individuals designated as "College Rep" members have been verified as legitimate admissions staffers or similar from the colleges in question.
