So then, people can sport their school logos or something.

To keep CC as quick-loading as possible for all of our members, many of whom may not have broadband connections, we keep our feature set to a minimum. That's not to say we never will have such features...

You should run a poll. I have dialup and with the page division features (ie only 40 posts a page) avatars do not really take that long to load up when I am on other message boards. Just for the love of God do not allow signatures, they take forever to load.

I think as long as CC limit the size of avatars.....the page should load fast....

On the old board, CC used to allow profile pictures and people started to post inappropriate stuff there, which is probably another reason why the mods have disabled avatars in the new vBulletin board

I have dialup too. Also doesn't take long for avatars to load for me either. Isn't there an avatar feature though? I thought something about it on the site somewhere.

I don't want them. And it's not because my computer can't load them (I have a cable connection), but I think they're kind of unnecesary. But I'd use one if we were allowed  | |

How about we do like other forums and allow users to select if they want to see the avatars or not? Make sense to me, everyone will get what they want.
