Non-drinkers

Is it possible to fit in at Conn with lots of friends if you don't drink at all?

Drinking at Conn

My daughter just finished her freshman year at Conn. Like at many colleges there are many kids there that do drink and party. My daughter does not and has found many friends who do the same as she. She found friends when she got on campus in the fall easily and knew that they were on the save wave length. They find other things to do.

Hi,
My daughter will be entering ConnColl as a freshman in the fall. She applied for the substance free dorm but had to switch to another dorm due to course choices. Could you provide some insight or information on the other dorms? Thank you.

I'm returning student. It is truly possible at conn to fit in and not drink. Of course there are people who will look down upon Blackstone(substance-free dorm), but there are plenty of camels who do not care about such preferences and base friendships on personality and character(not that drinking and such qualities are mutually exclusive).

Also, don't worry too much about not being in a substance free dorm; I know many social people who don't live in Blackstone or substance free living floors and do not drink. Of course there will be pressure to drink, but my friends in the situation have found friends outside the dorm.
