Most of the times CU doesnt even go to waitlist..
This is because according to expected yield, acceptances given out are more than spaces available....Hardly any1 gets in from waitlisted...
So dont get ur heart set on it...
This is what I could gather...Though i am not 100% sure about this..
Since no one apart from me actually responded to this It is safe to assume no one here knows any1 who got off the waitlist....
I have all the stats u need...
approx 200 students got admitted in CU..
of which only 120 end up in the freshman class....
and last year i think only 2 got in from waitlist and that too was in E.E...
IN MechE and ChemE...there have been no waitlist acceptances for the last 6 years..WoW!!!
Danny u shud focus on Umich...it is a pretty decent school..
Besides even those who got accepted in CU will find housing costs lot higher...
and 20k is the min u shud expect...
(kinda makes up for The Free Tuition thing by amazingly high dorm costs...)
Are any of you guys in the art program or are you all engineering? How did you get notified? My D hasn't heard anything yet from art--Thanks--
By the way, U of Mich is great; it'll work out for you. And the campus is lovely (cold though!). When the percentage accepted is that low, a reject doesn't mean a whole lot; it gets to chance, stacked odds, etc. Good luck--
congratulations. An impressive achievement considering that admissions were considerably higher this year and next years class will probably be slightly smaller (due to the financial situation and the move to the new building respectively).
Just got off the waitlist for engineering as well on May 8th... I'm stuck between Cooper and NYU Stern. not sure if I want to do business or engineering...
