Hi. Im going to be a sophomore at SUNY Geneseo in the fall. Currently, Im a Biochem major and a math minor. However, I've now decided Id like to get into a career in investment banking and it is very hard to do so from a non-ivy league school. So aside from my chances of getting into Cornell, what are the chances of me switching from Biochem to a dual major in Math and Econ as a transfer student?

My high school GPA was a 90.5, 1440 SATs, AP Bio, Calc, US Hist, and English

First semester at Genny:
Gen Chem I: A
Gen Bio I: B+
Calc I: B+
Core elective: B
GPA: 3.5, made Dean's List

Second semester at Genny:
Gen Chem II: B+
Gen Bio II: B- (no curve class average was a C)
Calc II: B+ (no curve class average was a C)
Theatre: B-
GPA: 3.0

took Calc III over the summer, got a B

I know I don't have a 3.8, but will the classes I took give me a shot? Thnx if you made it this far!

top applicants apply to transfer to cornell. good luck

You can always apply and see what happens.

I'll caution that investment banking isn't going to be nearly as lucrative in the coming years ahead.

Does anyone know if when you apply for transfer there is still the option of applying to a primary and secondary school like when you apply as a freshman to Cornell? Thanks!
