don't get me wrong! UMass is great! my concern is that rankings wise, cornell is the lowest i applied to. (go big or stay home).thus i am hoping, if cornell turns out to be a rejection, id hope there still is a chance for the others.

I got the same letter as the others so the rejection letter for CAS is pretty generic. My letter was dated from April 24 and the us postage stamp was dated from april 26.

@Chriss1992 I understand your logic, except I chose my schools specifically for the linguistics major, and UMass has one of the top programs in the world, I applied to all of the ones that aren't in CA, nor Harvard and such. Besides, I'm coming from a 2 year school, I can't stay home. lol

I can't log into housing so congrats hotelie
I submitted my app on the last day and turned in my midterm April 5th so I don't know if that factors into how late I'm hearing back...

I don't believe in sharing that information, but as far as I've heard there's been no notice of rejections or acceptances online. Again, housing has no correlation, as even rejected students have been able to log in. But best of luck to both of you! When I spoke to them yesterday regarding my deadline, they'd mentioned that some letters have already gone out.
