Waitlisted Discussion 2016
Hey, anyone out there on the waitlist? What do you think our chances are this year? Please share if you've been taken off the waitlist or simply posting general discussion regarding the waitlist for this year.

For last 2-3 years, the number accepted from the waitlist is 0.

Waitlisted from ILR. Don't want to get any hopes up, but considering the admission rate this year was terribly low and that a friend of mine (who got accepted and is more familiar with Cornell stats than me) says that he knows a bunch of accepted people who are declining their spots, anything's possible. I keep jumping up with terror and anxiety every time I hear my home/cell phone ringing or I get an email notification.

Any news yet, guys?? When should we hear back?

Would giving the admissions office a call to check on the app status be too obnoxious?

@ladyelizabeth: Ahahahaha I know that feeling way too much. I get startled when a phone rings, and I'm pretty sure it's going to give me an aneurysm eventually if Cornell doesn't accept/reject me soon.

@mada: I think the waitlist can stay open until June. And I don't think a simple phone call would be that obnoxious to them.

@floralromper Did you send them additional information? Letter of recs? Recent awards? etc? I am waitlisted at the Hotel School and I hope I hear back from them
