IB Credits?

Hi I'm interested in applying to Cornell and was just wondering about a couple of things. If I'm from Cali and want to go to Cornell, and I have 30 IB credits, can I enter Cornell as a sophomore? Or does Cornell not accept IB credits? Second, does Cornell often give financial aid? Thank you!

Cornell only offers credit for some IB subjects that are listed on your college's website. However, I don't think you can just skip a year because you have IB credit. Some of my friends have tons of AP credit but they aren't allowed to skip a year because Cornell requires you to take at least 12 Cornell credits per semester (for engineering). To answer your second question, Cornell is generous in giving aid to US nationals.
