Transfer Agreement

I've read posts by people talking about Cornell transfer agreements. Can someone explain these to me? I looked at the website. If I take the required courses at a community college that is on the Cornell website, will I be guaranteed a transfer to Cornell? Sadly, this sounds too good to be true.

Are you talking about the guaranteed transfer option? It's given to students who applied for undergraduate admission as HS seniors. It's different from being waitlisted in that they deem you a good fit for the school and would like to have you, but cannot accept you as a freshman due to lack of space and instead give you a guaranteed place in the class for sophomore year (not sure if it extends to junior year if you decide to transfer after 2 years instead of 1) on condition you meet certain requirements (a minimum GPA, no grade below a B or B-, certain classes). Unfortunately, I don't believe taking the recommended courses elsewhere would guarantee a transfer.

Guaranteed transfer option

Anyone doing this for 2013, Fall? I am and was wondering what thoughts or suggestions you have.
