Chances at Cornell

Hello, I am a high school soon to be senior. On the SAT Subject Tests i got an 800 on the Chemisty, 720 on the Math lvl 1, and a 700 on the Physics. I also got 5's on the Chem AP, Physics B AP, English AP, and Env.Science AP. A 27 composite on the ACT with a 10 writing subscore. I have a good gpa around 93, 94. Top 5% of my class. I am also in a lot of extracurriculars and have done a lot of community service. what are my chances of admittance into Cornell?

Assuming your ECs are good then what you need most to increase your chances is to either retake the ACT and do better, or take the SAT. Obviously your subject tests are good, but your ACT composite is low for Cornell. You might be the kind of person who is better at the SAT.

Get excellent recs and write good essays.

You need to get your ACT to 30 to have a decent chance...

I don't know what you are talking about because 30 is still pretty darn bad. It would make you admissible, but it's not ideal.

That's what I meant, Colene.
