Does anyone know if the desk lights are white or yellow? I am planning on bringing a floor lamp because I heard the lighting was not too good and I hate it when two lamp colors clash.

if I remember correctly all my lamps at Cornell were white lights. I did not live in Mews but I have consistently only seen one type of lamp on the entire campus.

I lived in CKB (rooms identical to Mews) and I found the lighting to be good. There are wall and/or ceiling lights in addition to the desk lamps. The lights are white. Given that the rooms aren't exactly huge, it might not be the best use of space to bring a floor lamp. If I were you, I'd move in and see what you think. If you really find the lighting to be poor, Target is only 15mins away by the (free) bus and you can find something cheap there.

sometimes people thought the lighting isn't good cause the main lights are energy efficient so when you first turn them on the room looks dim but when they're on for a while they get more than bright enough, you really don't need a floor lamp for mews, at least wait til you get there and buy one from target if you really need it

One more thing- is there a full length mirror or do I bring my own?
