What scores should I submit?

Yes, RD is a bit more difficult but much more important is raising your scores- unless you have some pretty significant ECs for CALS, you really don't have much of a chance.

Hello, I'm going to apply for ED to the CALS. I would like to see which scores you think I should submit to give me the best chance of admission. I know my scores suck, but I just want whatever would give me the best chance. I'm going to retake the ACT one more time, and I'm taking the SAT two more times. Here are my scores
SAT I: Reading : 590 Math: 600 Writing: 610
SAT I: Reading: 610 Math: 590 Writing: 680
SAT Subject Tests : Bio E: 500 Math I: 560 US History: 590
ACT: Composite: 27 English: 26 Math: 26 Reading: 30 Science: 25 (this was extremely hard on the September test) Combined English/Writing: 26 Essay: 9/12
Listen, I know my scores are TERRIBLE and don't come close to matching the high caliber that this school has to offer, but please just tell me what you think my plan of action should be. Remember, I'm retaking the ACT once more. I'm taking the SAT again, and I have another SAT date to sign up for. I'm not sure if I want to retake the subject tests because I'm not sure if I would be ready for them. Also, the CALS does NOT require them.......thank you.

CALS may not require them, but you can bet the majority of applicants, at least, have taken the SAT IIs and done well on them, (probably an even higher amount of accepted students, if not all of them, have as well) which could put you at a considerable disadvantage, especially since your ACT and SAT scores, so far, are weak. Therefore, you may want to put off applying early decision to Cornell because you only have 2 more chances to retake the SAT, but if you really want to apply ED, then I would advise taking the SAT I in October, the SAT IIs in November, and the ACT in October.

most schools want to see SAT II tests...
do you have strong grades?

if so maybe a sat optional school...not everyone tests well

I'm still applying ED. I honestly don't believe that applying RD will give me much of a chance to raise my score. Which tests should I submit out of the ones I have taken thus far?

You would have more time to prepare if you took the december SAT and would also have additional test dates, even though you really shouldn't retake more than 3 times unless you can significantly improve.

Your ACT score is better.

Thank you. But isn't RD much more difficult? Also, I'm not sure how much time I would have to prepare, considering I have other college applications to do, sports, and lot's of school work. And are you saying when I submit scores I should just submit the ACT and not the SAT I scores or SAT II scores?

Hmmmmm, I'm very confused now and I'm not sure what to do. I don't know if I can significantly raise my scores......
