I submitted my application as an international to CAS on November 5th.
On November 7th (today), I received my Green Card, and I am now a permanent citizen of the U.S.
How do I go about updating my status to Cornell? I would call them, but after that, I don't know what would be ahead.

Has anybody done something similar and willing to tell me about it?

Call the admissions and financial aid office, send any necessary documentation in if prompted.

Send it as soon as possible as well. I would start with the ISSO. They should have a good idea where/who exactly needs to be contacted.

Having a green card is not the same as being a citizen... A green card allows you to be a 'permanent resident' of the U.S. Green cards need to be renewed every 10 years. Citizenship does not need to be renewed. Once you've had a green card for a few years, you can apply for citizenship, though. This link might help:

It wouldn't matter whether OP is a permanent resident or American citizen, he/she now will be eligible for FA, which is big. Cornell is need blind when it comes to admission for internationals, but I am not sure if there is a quota for internationals.
