Does Cornell rank their students like they do in high school by GPA?

Cornell does not rank. I can't remember where I saw it written but I'm positive of it.

College of Engineering will give you a class rank.

They do not "rank," per se. However, they will name a veledictorian and salutorian, the two students with the highest overall gpa's. Other than that, people are just distinguished by gpa, courseload difficulty, etc.

I think Cornell doesn't rank for freshman and sophomore years, but does from junior year onwards

Arjun, that's not true. It might be in the College of Engineering as someone pointed out, but not for the university.
