Cornell Poly Sci vs. UPenn Poly Sci
Can you guys please help me out? Im double majoring in MechE & Poly Sci, and it's pretty much between these two schools. However, I'd like to point out that I am most passionate about politics, and that's the area that I'm most likely going to pursue a career in after college.

I would recommend you to go to Penn. It's much easier to do double major in MechE and PoliSci at Penn than it is to do at Cornell. If you are doing MechE at Cornell, you will probably have no time to fulfill the major requirement for Government. I believe Penn is more flexible at double majoring.

ecc is probably right about the difficulty of getting the dual Engineering / Govt. Degree... I had some pals do it, but it took them five years instead of four...

As for Government Dept at Cornell... if that's your true passion... there are some REALLY OUTSTANDING profs there - check out Krammnick and Lowi in particular....

This is supplemented by REALLY GOOD professors in both History, Economics and Philosophy depts that teach courses on Political Philosophy... check out the course book.... it's huge... impossible to exhaust all the possiblities...

Cornell in Washington Program is also an excellent opportunity...

Research carefully and ask many questions... go visit both schools...
