Microwaves

I was just wondering, how strict is Cornell with having microwaves in rooms, besides the ones rented by the school? Will they fine you? Cuz I bought one freshman year for my other school (I'm a transfer), and kinda don't wanna give it up..

you cant have a microwave unless you rent the microwave/fridge. and i dont think you have to give it up...just leave it at home

but im sure no one will notice if you just sneak it in

Depending on your building, the circuit breaker might trip before your microwave actually gets going. I know using a hair dryer for 5-10 seconds would trip the breaker in Dickson.

^Yeah...I wouldn't recommend bringing it to your dorm room. Like Kyt, I also tripped my breaker with my hair dryer. I always had to go to the bathroom to dry my hair.

If you move off campus at some point and you aren't provided with a microwave...you can certainly bring it then.
