work study jobs (if you have federal work study on your financial aid)

cornell annual fund job (where you call alumni for money)

generally CIT (cornell information technology) are the best jobs...great for CS majors...

Best paying:

Lifeguarding (if you have certification): starts at $9.00/hr and goes up each semester

There are some office jobs that pay $10+ an hour

Library jobs don't pay as well....but they are more flexible with scheduling and it's very easy to find a sub if you have a conflict...only downside is you must have work study to be eligible for these jobs.

Yeah many of the office jobs pay $10+, I have one this semester. They are great.

Also TA's get an excess of $10 if you do it more than one semester I believe.

Your work study can be used with pretty much every on campus job

How does work study work exactly? If an on campus job pays $7 regularly, if you have work study eligibility you get $10?
What are some office jobs that pay 10+? Where/how do i apply?

No...if you have work study and the job pays $7/hr...you still get paid $7/hr but a portion of your pay is subsidized by the federal government and your employer pays the other portion.

damn mike...are you even a freshman? lol

i will tell you that those jobs that do pay $10 are because the student comes with plenty of experience already...

dont expect this to be your first job and make 10+++

also some jobs pay 10+ b/c they have less hours...an 8$/hr job might have more hours available...

you have to find a job on your own...if you are a freshman here already, then you surely have seen that theres a scheduled time for you to attend a work study workshop or w/e

There is an ILR transfer student- screen name "agbm" was was touting his position at the Cornell Federal Credit Union. He started his training this summer. It sounds like a great opportunity.
Need a job? Cash handling experience? On Campus!

Student Agencies in collegetown has a number of high-paying positions that are also great in terms of gaining management experience as an undergrad. Heres their site:

I am not a freshman. I never received a scheduled time for a workstudy workshop. Where do I go to get one?
