Hey, I'm interested in transferring to Cornell ILR.
Do you know what the minimum requirements are? (gpa, etc.)
Thanks a bunch!

Check their admissions website. There's no such thing as guaranteed admission once you're above a minimum requirement.

If you have any specific questions, we'd be happy to answer.

Good luck!

What are some good classes to take 1st semester freshman year as an elective?

I'm in ILR so I only get one class of electives, but my interests are:

English, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Government, Econ.

Any of the above would be great
I heard a lot of people recommend Psych 101..?

What health forms? I'm an incoming transfer student; not sure I heard anything about this. I got a health information packet the other day but it said that stuff wasn't due until late August.

What gives?

I was referring to the Health History Form on this page:

https://forms.newstudents.cornell.edu/first-year/

This is a first-year page though, so I'm not sure if transfers have to do it.

Roneal:

Why wouldn't be 2 electives? There would be room wouldn't there or does ILR not allow 2 electives?

Well they're recommended schedule is:

ILR Colloquium (req)
Intro to Labor Law (req)
Intro to Organizational Behavior (req)
Micro Econ (req)
FWS (req)
Elective

I think that puts you somewhere around 15 or 16 credits, which is what most people have suggested is an adequate amount for first semester; obviously you could take more if you wanted.

Health Science

Hey CU Grad What careers are offered with a bachelor degree in health Science? Is a Physicians Assistant a possible career choice?

Roneal:

You do not take both labor history and organizational behavior first semester. Half do it first and the other half do the other, either labor or Org. behavior.

Thanks for the insight!

Hey CUgrad, are there any electives you would recommend for a freshman in ILR that you feel would be helpful later on?
