Really? Underage drinking is that little of a fine?

Down here in Texas it's pretty hefty...

Yes, in florida it is too (a friend got $300 fine plus court fees after being forced to go to court), but not treated very seriously in NYS.

yeah basically. The CoPo (cornell police) are well aware that 85% of the people they see running around on any given night are intoxicated, they'll really only bust you if you have a cup with alcohol in it, or a bottle of something, especially if your underage

I have never heard the term CoPo. Most people refer to the Cornell Police as CUPD and the Ithaca Police as IPD.

I like CoPo more. I'm guessing it's a play on PoPo.

I can't wait to see the smiles turn upside down after the first prelim lol. No, but seriously, has anyone been to Appel before classes, then ate there after the first month? Huge difference. Highly suggested for any upperclassmen. It's really a nostalgic experience that should be added to the 101 things every cornellian should do before graduating.

haha, good thread. yeah never walk around with alcohol, ticket on the spot.
any night of the week really come to ctown if you are looking for fun things to do, everyone can spot a freshman in a second but thats the fun part and dont worry, just walk in anywhere where you can see/hear something going on and share the stories the next morning.

i like o week the best, of any other week: people are a million times friendlier and open to meeting new people and such, and having a truly good time. post o week the rest of the time is essentially people forming cliques and after 1st semester freshman year its like high school cafeteria with everyone in their own groups and no longer being nearly as open to meeting new people and etc.

enjoy o week before the work hits hard too for school, and don't rat out the people who gave you beer if it comes down to it, just say you found it,
