A few questions (Cornell supplement, ED)

Hey guys,
When does Cornell usually put out the Cornell supplement online? Also, I'm planning on applying ED. I took one SAT II so far (US History, got an 800) and I know I have to take another, so I'll be taking the Bio SAT II. However, I also have to retake the SAT to get my score up to a 2200+. The first two test dates are Oct. 10, 2009 and Nov. 7, 2009. I would prefer to take the Bio SAT II first to get it out of the way and while the info is still kind of fresh after studying this summer, but can my SAT I scores be rushed to Cornell if I took them in Nov., keeping in mind that the ED deadline is Nov. 1?

I'm thinking it would be better to take the SATs in Nov. because I still have my June 2009 scores to submit until I can send in the new ones. My Bio score would be better this way as well because the info will be fresher in my head. However, would sending my June SAT score just as a placeholder hurt my chances? I got a 2070.

Thanks guys!

i'm pretty sure if you tell them you're rushing november sat scores it should be fine.

Thanks Feral.

Second opinions? Anyone have success with this in the past?

I remember I was told the same as well. If you tell them (via email and on the app that you are taking the Nov SAT) the scores are being rushed, they will wait to make their final decision until they have those scores.

Does anyone know if we have to send all SAT 2 scores taken (even if they're not very good) as well as all SAT 1 scores? And will it look bad if you get a low score and then jump up, say, 200 points?

They take only your best scores into consideration.

Granted, if you got a 390 on the math one time... that's a little suspect.

The ED application filing period begins on September 1, so the supplement should be out by August at the latest. Check the admissions website for the latest information.

when you submit your SAT scores, ALL your scores are sent to the school (including reasoning test and ALL subject tests, and even previous ones). however, i think Cornell only looks at your best 2 subject test scores.
The supplement should be out before september.

im pretty sure the essays are pretty much the same each year. You may be able to find last years essays somewhere on the interwebs n get a head start. Other then the essays, the supplement is not hard at all.

I know for a fact that they can rush them. It shouldnt really matter either way cause even if you took it first, they would see all the scores in the score report.

If you are nervous about it though, I would just call them.
