Do I have a shot getting into Cornell

3.72 GPA, 2050 SAT scores, won lots of trophies and came in 8th in stanford national tournament in varsity debate. debate director for Junior State of America, black belt in Kuk Sool Won and teach private lessons in Kuk Sool, plus fencing for 3 years.

national honors society, won the latin award at my school.

5's on AP US history, AP psychology, and 740 something on both the US history and English SAT subject tests

should I bother applying?

If you apply ED you might have a chane but I still doubt that you would get in.

Ok just cause I don't "know your story" or whatever that means doesn't mean it's bull. I didn't say don't apply, I think you should, it's just I think you probably won't get in based on your stats. I'm not saying you won't, you might. I'm just telling you the truth.

You can write some good stuff about your fencing and martial arts experience for your essays. SATs are a bit low but you have a shot.

It's definitely worth a shot, especially if you apply ED.

Which Junior State are you in? I'm governor of the Mid-Atlantic State.
