Haha, applying ED but dont have much of a chance:

Female
NJ
White
Very competitive high school
Applying ED to CALS for animal science

UW GPA: 3.67
W GPA: 5.12/6.00
Top 10% of class

SAT: 2060 but taking it again in 2 days
SAT2s: Bio:720 Lit: 700

AP USH (4), taking 3 more tests this spring (school does not offer many APs until senior year)


Extracurriculars:

President of school Christian club
VP of Animal Welfare Club
A capella honors choir, womens ensemble choir, concert choir
Forums moderator and newswriter for BestFriends Animal Society (national non-profit)
Guitar player/worship leader for youth group

NHS, Social Studies Honors Society, Science National Honors Society, English National Honors Society


Volunteer Work:

-250 hours volunteering at an animal hospital
-Server/cook for local soup kitchen (40 hours?)

Sports:
-competitive showjumping/equestrian (5th-10th grade)


Other:
-Participant in the United States Scholar-Athlete Games at URI
-good recs!


Work experience:
Veterinary technician at an animal hospital (xrays, bloodwork, restraining, prescriptions, etc) (May 2009-present)

Early decision to AEM

Caucasian in Wilmington, Delaware

SAT I: Math - 690
CR - 710
Writing - 650

GPA: UW - 3.7
W - 4.2

Junior schedule: AP US AP English language AP, Calc AB, Honors Chemistry, Honors Spanish 4

Senior schedule : AP Gov ,AP English literature, AP Calc BC, Honors Physics, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology Advanced Foods (for the agriculture focus at Cornell)

EC: 4 years cross country, 4 years lacrosse, 65 volunteer hours (with more every week), runner up at camp impact (marketing camp at lebow school of business)

AP scores: AP Calc - 5, AP US - 3, AP World History - 4

Class Rank - 23 out of 293

I am focused on the business fields and hope to play up the agriculture part of Cornell's business school. What do you guys think?

I don't know the only explanation is that his curriculum wasn't that good, but it's not much worse than mine so...
