Ok so I know that people say that early decision is supposed to boost your chances because a lot of schools have really high ED acceptance rates. Why do people say you have better chances ED then RD? Colleges explicitly state that your chances are the same and that it wont be easier if you apply ED. Whats the truth??? I want to go to Cornell really bad and I want all the advantage I can get. So does that mean apply ED?
There are few colleges that won't admit your chances are better in ED. Cornell ILR's Dean of Admissions "explicitly stated" just that over the weekend at the open house and cited the reason the above poster gave. This question has been answered soooo many times and I haven't even been here all that long.
