Intro to Macro and AP credit

Does anyone know if you were given the 3 credits for AP Macro in ILR school, can you still take the Intro to Macro course and get a grade and credit if you are willing to sacrifice the AP credit? Do you need to tell them. And, yes this is a question for my son.

Nothing better than paying thousands of dollars for a class you've already taken. Tell your son to make the (apparently) very difficult walk over to student services in Ives hall and ask there.

Yes you can take the class and still get credit.

Sadly he'll have to go to tell them eventually.

Though I am in a different school, from my experience, you don't have to worry about telling them immediately. I enrolled in a course that was already covered by an AP credit, and then half way through the semester, when I had a free moment, I went to the registrar and told them to take the AP credit off. It was about a two minute transaction.
