You're in. Not sure what other schools you're looking at, but definitely consider putting Cornell toward the top of that list. Cornell engineering offers one of the most thorough and rewarding educations you can receive anywhere.

Thanks Doby. Also, I just had one more question. I am not sure if I am going to pursue engineering right after graduation or try to be an investment banker first instead. Just so I know that I have options, is the Engineering dept. at Cornell a target for BB banks?

Absolutely. That's what I did, actually. I joined Goldman Sachs in sales and trading. From Cornell engineering, opportunities exist to enter the investment banking world in both technology and front-office divisions.

Many of my engineering classmates did the same. Joining consulting companies (both strategic like Bain and technology like Accenture) was also a popular choice for the engineers.

Hey Goalsetter, I'm a junior in high school who has done just as much as you in FIRST robotics and I was just wondering if you could tell me how that looks on your applications after you receive decisions. I haven't seen many people on the boards with it and it's something I've been wondering for a while.
