Ansci 1160 and 2400: question about tests.

I've already taken Ansci 1160 and testing only consists of 5 "quizzes."

Is Ansci 2400 similar in its testing, or are there prelims and a final for the Animal Repro. class? Also, is it recommended to take the lecture with the lab, or is it okay to take the lab the following year?

Thank you. =)
