I am currently a Junior in HS, and I am looking at dancing at PPU in two years! I would really like some insight on dance majors or people that have danced the dance audition at PPU. Thanks for the feedback in advance.
hi. my daughter did their summer intensive and loved the dance. She did not like downtown Pittsburgh. It is a very safe city but there is nothing to do after 5 pm. She would tell you she loved the dance but not where it is. She has 2 friends that are there and are not happy with the college atmosphere. They love the dance. Now we are from Philly with a very active city. If you are from a small town you may be ok with it. My daughter decided not to audition there because of this. She wanted more of a college atmosphere or city living. Her first choice so far is UArts. I would go to their summer intensive and try it for yourself. Good Luck!
MY D is a freshamn dance major at PPU. She is loving the program. SHe is a modern major, but they take ballet daily, and modern and jass four days a week. I am not sure what kind of questions you have. If you ask some specifics I might be able help you out with answers.
