Dartmouth or UT Austin Business Honors Full Ride

I really can't decide. While UT BHP is pretty much free, Dartmouth is about 20k a year. I like Dartmouth, but it is hard to turn down a full ride. I don't know if UT is just as good in terms of internship/networking opportunities. I am a Texas resident, so New Hampshire seems kind of far away and cold. I appreciate everyone's input ! Thanks

For 20k per year, Dartmouth is an easy choice.

My son had a very similar choice but in UT honors engineering. He was somewhat torn until he visited Dimensions. Were you able to visit? We are from Texas, I am a Longhorn who bleeds burnt orange and I think UT is an excellent school (I am a business graduate). That being said, I feel like my sons experiences at Dartmouth are unsurpassed. At UT you will be surrounded by some of the best and brightest in Texas, and some from around the US and the world. At Dartmouth you will truly be surrounded by the best and the brightest from around the US and the world.
Hanover is cold and far away but it is also beautiful and full of energetic and incredibly capable kids. A free ride is also great and Honors Business is an excellent program. If $20,000 will be difficult for you and your parents, it is a fantastic option. Please feel free to PM me if you have more specific questions.

What do your parents think about the financial burden?

Dartmouth has a very good internship program where they allow you to spend a quarter or two each year anywhere in the world. This will allow you to have internships at top notch companies in the country/world and get you contacts and jobs very quickly.

Leaving home and your comfort zone will be an experience that is worth more than $80k, and will last you for the rest of your life. We encouraged our kids, and their friends to go to school in the East and they have matured greatly compared to classmates that stayed at the state university. Dartmouth would be the perfect school to meet incredibly talented new friends. I believe a degree from Dartmouth will pay dividends forever by opening doors where ever you end up living and working, the state university probably will not.
