As a parent I remember the anxiety that gripped our household last year. It turned out to be a great day and my son was accepted. I am sitting here feeling nostalgic as he will be flying home tomorrow as he finishes his first quarter. Time will fly. Enjoy the rest of your high school days and the friends that will start to wander next year. If you are deferred or rejected, you will find the right environment at another college. Dartmouth is a great place to be but so are a lot of other places. Enjoy tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be a great day.

OK.. I know son read his email (because a coach from another school contacted him again and he was telling me about it). And I can tell "something" is up because he has a math test tomorrow but he's pretty much just pacing around the house -- very unlike him.

Here's the thing... he hasn't told me about Dartmouth's email at all... So, not sure what to make of that besides that he doesn't want me to stress or add to his. I suppose it's better if he wants to deal with it on his on, but at the same time.. I hope that is what he truly wants.
