How do you pronounce Dartmouth?

I was really curious. Is it Dart-mouth as in the place on your face where you enter food? Or do you say it more like "Dart-myth or Dart-moth?

    None of those. It's more like Dartmuth - with with the accent on the first syllable and the two syllables flowing quickly together.

    I would volunteer that it is, in actuality, typically pronounced "Dart-myth"... even by the people I know who are alums.

    There's a lot of things to worry about than pronunciations.

    However it is pronounced /ˈdɑrtməθ/

    Think Plymouth, and replace Ply with Dart.
