do all the materials (transcripts etc.) that are not filled out by the applicant need to be postmarked by the deadline??
I'm asking because our school gets back in session only on the third... plus our post grad office gets a TON of requests this time of year for transcripts and find it hard to always get them out on time... but they work like crazy to do so. I just want to cut them slack if I can!!

You are responsible for making sure that your part, the application, fees are paid by the deadline. You are not responsible for transcripts, recommendations. However, you should nudge, your GC and teachers of the importance of submitting information in a timely manner. If I remember correctly the mid-year report is due by February.
