Transfers '12?

Anyone else hear yet? Just found out I got accepted as a transfer for the class of 2012, and I am absolutely stoked! I am a bio major at this point in time btw.

Congratulations! I'm a current freshman, but would like to welcome you on behalf of our class! I actually know several transfer students, including my RA (well, hall counselor, since I'm a freshie) and they've all loved it here. Where ya comin' from? :-)

Georgetown, actually, but Connecticut geographically-wise. I'm pumped, good to hear transfers aren't socially inept

Sweet, sweet! I have a cousin at Georgetown! She likes it, but I know it would not have been a good match for me. The political opportunities would've been nice, but Davidson has some neat opportunities, as well.

I actually just talked to an incoming transfer student last night on Cat Chat (prospective students chat room), coming from UConn. I think he (she?) sounded really excited, especially about the weather haha. Definitely not socially inept - this individual was very personable. :-)

Interesting.. one of my Davidson friends is in the process of transferring TO georgetown.. Guess you were just looking for different things

One thing about transfer students: I know one that came this year who at this point, technically speaking, is a junior.. But he's not really sure what grade he fits into here (seeing as he knows the freshmen better than any of the people in his own grade).. I think if you are social and try to find your place, you'll be fine.. But I think it is definitely possible to feel a bit misplaced as a transfer
